Pete lämpimikseen hyppelee.
Kelloaan katsoo kiroillen,
sytyttää röökin viimeisen.
Luokan priimus oli koulussa,
nyt kuudentoista, koniin koukussa,
eikä mutsi jaksa välittää,
faijaansa ei oo nähnytkään.
Pete pitää huolen itsestään,
eilen sai viestin frendiltään:
"Nyt olis helpot massit tiedossa,
jos tuut mukaan, nähdään puistossa."
Pete pystyyn nostaa kaulukset
ja kiskoo sauhut viimeiset.
Vielä kerran miettii mielessään,
ei oo mitään menetettävää...
Maailma matkaa radallaan,
päivä nousee uudestaan.
Ei mikään muutu milloinkaan,
kaikki säilyy ennallaan.
Samat tuulet puhaltaa,
samat sateet lankeaa
ja kaikki kaunis katoaa,
kaikki kuolee aikanaan.
Kaunis nuori nainen Laura on.
Käytyään kauppaopiston,
päätti oman firman perustaa,
haki ison lainan pankista.
Mutta Laura joutuu vaikeuksiin,
ajettiin firma konkurssiin.
Nyt selviä ei laskuistaan,
lainasta puhumattakaan.
Sen vanhemmilla rahaa riittäis,
mut ne ei haluu auttaa tytärtään.
Ne sanoo: "Tervetuloa maailmaan,
täällä pärjätä saa omillaan."
Laura valvoo yönsä rukoillen,
"Luoja auta, selviä en."

Laura saapuu prätkällään,
sen puiston laitaan pysäyttää.
Pete nousee taakse istumaan,
kumpikaan ei sano sanaakaan
ja he ajavat pihaan huvilan,
Laura avaimensa ojentaa
ja Peteä vielä muistuttaa,
missä mutsi pitää korujaan.
He luulivat jo selvinneensä,
kun Laura näkee peileistänsä,
kuinka valot siniset välähtää,
vaatien pysähtymään.
Laura kääntää kahvaa huutaen:
"Pidä kiinni, Petri Ruusunen!"
Aamulla lööpit hehkuttaa
ja hetken he ovat legendaa...

English translation
In the park the night is growing cold.
Pete is jumping to keep himself warm.
He glances at his watch, swearing,
lights up the last cig.
He was top of his class in school,
now he's sixteen, hooked on horse (=heroin),
and mom doesn't care,
he's never seen his dad.
Pete takes care of himself,
got a message from his friend yesterday:
"I know where we can make easy money,
if you're in, see you in the park."
Pete turns his collar up
and draws in the last smoke.
Once again thinking in his mind,
there's nothing to lose...
The world travels on it's orbit,
the day rises again.
Nothing ever changes,
everything stays the same.
Same winds blow,
same rains pour down
and all beauty disappears,
everything dies in due time.
Laura is a beautiful young woman.
After going to business school,
decided to start her own company,
got a big loan from the bank.
But Laura got into trouble,
her company went bankrupt.
Now she can't handle her bills,
not to mention the loan.
Her parents would have plenty of money,
but they don't want to help their daughter.
They say: "Welcome to the world,
in here, everyone needs to make it on their own."
Laura stays up every night, praying,
"Help me, God, I can't make it."

Laura arrives on her chopper (=motorcycle"),
stops it at the edge of the park.
Pete sits behind her,
neither of them says a word
and they drive in front of a villa,
Laura gives Pete her key
and reminds Pete where her mom keeps her jewellery.
They thought they made it,
when Laura sees from her mirrors,
how blue lights flash,
demanding them to stop.
Laura turns the handle, screaming:
"Hold on, Petri Ruusunen!"
In the morning the headlines praise
and for a moment, they're a legend...
